His story began after he passed college, where he used to spend his college holidays frequently working in the dream city, Bombay. He was into the advertising field, later he realized to change his dreams into the real world. In order to excel in the film industry, he got a comprehension of art direction heading and things identified with Art. In the interim, the film The industry was developing quickly and he came to understand that this will be the fate of media, So he moved his way towards TV and media, in request to learn it all the more profoundly, he assisted many art directors, which lead to being an interesting and inventive experience.
After long hours searching the ways towards his dreams, he met Sameer Chandra who has two National Awards for Art direction, where he began learning workmanship bearing under his direction. He tried to adopt every one of the characteristics of craftsmanship heading with him for right around 3 years. Lastly, his diligent work rang, and he got his first break as an Art Director in the movie, ‘Chura Liya Hai Tumne’ which was made under the direction of Sangeet Siwan.
Challenges faced and his success story
Accomplishment in the film industry is hard to get. There are numerous sorts of progress this achievement can be in fame, money, or business and a ton of things, however, getting challenging films is a unique success in my eyes. That is the reason I generally search for films with different subjects. I did a ton of movies in which I got an opportunity to get a different experience. These incorporate making underwater sets for film ‘Blue’, making towns, frames, making planes, and so on; all these gave me a different experience. Furthermore, we gave a similar experience to our group of the audience so that at whatever point they see an image, they can see reality and authenticity on the screen. So, my journey is consistently to cause various types of movies so I can get my group of audiences to experience realistic and fabulous sets.
When I began working with Mani Ratnam, he regularly said to me, for what reason would you like to do Art direction? What's more, I said that art direction is the medium where more difficulties come through which you get the chance to substantiate yourself over and over. If you look at the rest of the field, the achievement of the work is experienced simply after the film is screened. But I get this experience over and over, where you can polish your work each day, the audience feels about your work, and you go nearer to your specialty. That is the reason I like this field without question.
What he likes most about his work.
I love doing historical movies, although I likewise appreciate doing futuristic movies as it has various types of challenges. While doing the ‘Toonpur Ka Superhero’ we have utilized 3 D and special effects, as these movies have more newness, so I like working in them more. In historical movies we need to set up a replica, references to these movies are accessible with us, yet for futuristic movies, we need to make another inventive creation. That is the reason I like to adapt to new modern ways of filming art, due to which the movies become more excellent and overwhelming.
His plan of action towards changes?
When alongside the film industry, the construction and creation field was developing quickly where a wide range of sorts of new materials was utilized. Art direction is about the completions and finishing what sort of feel you are searching for and furthermore that there are climate consent, weather consent… so there we need to utilize various types of materials and innovation. Prior we used to make this on paper, after which the work in front of it began; soon advanced innovation came into existence because of which we began visualizing things differently. I adapted a wide range of software knowledge with the goal that I can give another look and finish to my work by evaluating the ideal time. If you need to paint a wall, at that point what numbers of individuals are going to look predictable in it, you can comprehend it by utilizing these innovations. So I incline toward the blending of both so that by utilizing old techniques and the upgraded we could make the greatest creations.
Message to the young Filmmaker by Narendra Rahurikar
You must be extremely creative; when you become imaginative you have to work with various art directors. Many individuals need to work with big art directors where they get next to no to adapt but working with new art directors gives you a ton of extension to adapt new things. I worked with the big art directors who did 5 - 10 movies, yet I found by doing this your work turns out monotonous, as, on the grounds you aware about what the director needs, you know the subject needs, you know the lights and colors respectively because of which there is next to no space of learning and lesser opportunities to develop. Working with new art directors you acquire more, you get an opportunity to investigate more, and when you work with all these various talents you get familiar with plenty of things… Do not make yourself monotonous. Attempt work once a low-budget movie, that is the thing that will instruct you what a genuine art director does, purchasing your stuff from the showroom keeping before the frame is not art direction. Art direction is you have to create wonders in a very less amount of money than you will understand the creativity and the value of money.
